70-year-old Ernestine lives alone in her home of 40 years. Ernestine worked as a law clerk for 20 years before severe back issues forced her into early retirement. For the past 11 years since Ernestine’s husband has passed, she has not been able to keep up with the repair work on her home.
Charter’s Spectrum Housing Assist program came to Ernestine’s rescue and with the help of nonprofit organization, Rebuilding Together, they made critical repairs to Ernestine’s home. The repairs made on Ernestine’s home included: concrete step repair, painting, landscaping, and safety items in the home.
