Sparklight Strengthens Local Communities through More than $125,000 in Charitable Giving Fund Grants

Sparklight, a leading provider of high-speed internet and mobile services, recently awarded more than $125,000 in grants to 28 nonprofit organizations across its footprint through the Sparklight Charitable Giving Fund.

The Sparklight Charitable Giving Fund provides $250,000 annually to nonprofit organizations focused on strengthening local communities through:

  • Education and Digital Literacy
  • Food Insecurity
  • Community Development

This grant cycle, Sparklight also funded organizations working to serve vulnerable children, increase the independence of seniors, improve workforce readiness, expand access to technology and more.

“Across our footprint, nonprofit organizations are making a meaningful difference every day by addressing local needs and strengthening the communities we call home,” said Jim Holanda, CEO of Cable One, Sparklight’s parent company. “We’re proud to support their efforts through our Charitable Giving Fund and help expand the impact of their important work.”

Among this spring’s recipients is Southeastern Arizona Community Unique Services (SEACUS), which will use its grant to strengthen its home-delivered meal program, delivering nutritious meals and meaningful connections for some of the community’s most vulnerable residents.

“We are deeply grateful to Sparklight for its generous grant to our home-delivered meal program,” said Stephanie Nabor, SEACUS Executive Director. “For many of our clients, a meal delivery is more than food — it’s a lifeline that reduces isolation and provides reassurance that someone cares. This grant reflects Sparklight’s commitment to the well-being of our community and to those who need it most.”

Supporting Long-Term Community Impact
Since launching the Charitable Giving Fund in 2020, Sparklight has awarded more than $1.3 million in grants to more than 300 organizations dedicated to addressing local needs, expanding opportunity and strengthening communities across its footprint. Winslow school gets grant to add T-shirt press to STEM lab

Winslow Elementary

Sparklight awarded a $2,500 STEM grant to Winslow Elementary School through its annual “Dream Bigger” social media campaign. The grant supports science, technology, engineering and math education opportunities for K-12 students.

The funding will support the addition of a T-shirt press to the school’s STEM program. Students will bring their digital designs to life while gaining hands-on experience in design, production and entrepreneurship.

“Winning a Dream Bigger grant is a huge deal for our kids at Winslow Elementary. A shirt press might sound simple, but for our students, it opens the door to real creative and entrepreneurial experiences right inside our STEM lab,” Aaron Meyer, Winslow Elementary School Principal said.

Meyer said the school is small and located in a small town. He said this kind of opportunity creates meaningful, lasting experiences for students.

“Hands-on tools like this help students build practical skills in design, production and problem-solving that translate far beyond the classroom. We’re proud to support Winslow Elementary as they create hands-on experiences that connect creativity, technology and real-world application,” Travis Harr, Sparklight Senior Regional Director, North Central said.

Since its launch in 2019, Sparklight’s “Dream Bigger” initiative awarded more than $200,000 in grants to support STEM education. In 2026, 12 schools and organizations across Sparklight’s 24-state footprint were selected to receive funding for student-focused projects.

Associates across the Cable One® family of brands (SparklightFidelityHargrayValuNet and Cable America) donated more than 10,000 pounds of food to local food banks this holiday season to help alleviate food insecurity across the communities served by the leading broadband provider.

Sabrina Johnston, Food Drive Coordinator for St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix, said the current economic environment is creating significant demand on St. Mary’s Food Bank and food banks around the country.

“As we work to provide more than 250,000 meals a day – the most in our 56-year history – donations from partners like Cable One mean that fewer families will go hungry this holiday season,” Johnston said. “We appreciate the continued support of Cable One in providing food and monetary donations to St. Mary’s Food Bank over the past six years.”

Cable One donated nearly 5,000 pounds of food and more than $15,000 to St. Mary’s Food Bank earlier this month.

Cable One President and CEO Julie Laulis said the company is committed to helping alleviate hunger in the 24 states Cable One serves through its annual food drive.

“Local food banks are fulfilling the critical need of feeding at-risk community members who might otherwise go hungry due to the challenging economic environment,” Laulis said. “We are proud to support their mission through donations that will help provide immediate aid to individuals and families in need.”

Since 2018, Cable One has donated more than 51 tons of food and more than $500,000 to address food insecurity.
